Praying this morning for Christian husbands and wives who are dealing with issues of unrepentant sin in their marriage. May God grant the offender a genuinely repentant heart (James 5:16), and the offended spouse a heart to forgive as Christ has forgiven you (Ephesians 4:31-32).
Our world likes to celebrate the power of the individual, but a stronger power erupts when we build and nurture a tight community. We are not meant to do life alone; we are meant to grow and be like Jesus with people around us!
At the gym on the treadmill reading Hosea 4. And though in that text God is specifically addressing the rebellion of Israel, I can’t help seeing reflections of that same willful contumacy in our own culture today. We arrogantly toy with a holy God, thinking He will not judge us.
Do not be timid about sharing the gospel with unbelievers. Do not fear explaining to them what you believe—and why (1 Pet. 3:15-16). Remember, it is God’s gospel, not yours. As such, He is divinely capable of accomplishing that which you are innately incapable of (1 Thess. 2:13).
